"Rhodie in the Spotlight"

Here is another floral,  this one is done in Watercolor!  The flower was from my garden but I did change the values a bit to give it more depth in the shadows.  I wanted the flower with the light filtering through the petals to be the focal point!  Size on this one is
10" H x 14" wide.  As you can tell I really like to paint florals.  I was always told that you do your best work when you enjoy what you are painting!

  3. Beautiful artwork!
I like florals too. I think you are right. You must paint what you like most. And I really like beautiful pink flowers.
I like the dark background of your painting, it makes the flowers in the front glow.

  5. Thanks for checking this one out Jennifer & Dianna! I do like to paint florals in Watercolor. But I must admit I don't care for what I call Wishy-Washy Watercolors. I really like to have intesnse color as you can see in my paintings...
